Are you ready to get to know Huntersville? Spring is a great time to get out in the community and take advantage of our friendly, low-key atmosphere. Whether you are hitting a farmer’s market on opening day or enjoying one of many races throughout town, you will find Huntersville is full of interesting things to do in the spring.
At 10 on May 14 head to downtown Huntersville to hit up the opening day of the annual Grower’s Market. Here local farmers and gardeners can put their produce up for sale, flanked by local crafters and artisans. Shop for fresh produce and beautiful artwork for your home! Scope out what will be available in the coming summer months.
Also on May 14, downtown Huntersville will be hosting Hello Huntersville, its annual celebration of music and art, from 10 until 2. Hear live performers, shop for local art products and enjoy vendor booths as you see all of the art and cultural experiences Huntersville has to offer its residents.
On May 5, the Olde Mecklenburg Brewery will host Catwalk to Camp, a fun fashion-centered evening featuring individuals with autism, as well as their friends and parents, modeling fashions from Macy’s. This fundraiser raises money to help individuals with autism head to Camp Royall’s summer camp program. Proceeds and donations from the event will go to Camp Royall, which is the country’s oldest camp dedicated exclusively to individuals with ASD.
The dates haven’t been announced yet, but Movies in the Park are a Huntersville tradition. Head to the park at sundown to see screenings of your favorite flicks out under the stars!
Pay tribute to our fallen heroes at the Huntersville Memorial Day Ceremony, held May 30th at 7 at Birkdale Village. The event includes music from local singers, presentation of colors, honoring of special veteran guests, singing of the national anthem and a placing of a wreath in honor of those who have fought to preserve our freedoms.
As trees and flowers burst forth with brilliant color this spring, Huntersville is ready with spring events around every corner. As a resident of Holly Crest Apartments, you can enjoy all of these spring events easily from an ideal Huntersville location.
