The temperature may be dropping in the Lake Norman region, but entertainment is heating up. If you are looking for something fun to do around your Holly Crest Apartments home, here are some upcoming events that will keep you entertained and connected to the local community.
Open MIC Night at Lake Town Tavern
Wednesdays can be difficult to get through. Between the mid-week slump and the lack of fun things to do, Hump Day can be a real challenge, but Lake Town Tavern in Cornelius helps with its Open MIC night. Hosted by Good Night Brothers or Mack, Open MIC gives you the chance to enjoy the excellent food of Lake Town Tavern while also enjoying the entertainment of local artists.
Second Friday Bella Love Art Crawl
The Cornelius Cultural Arts Group invites you to come every second Friday to experience downtown Cornelius while also enjoying the chance to tour the work of local and innovative artisans from around Lake Norman. Live performances, food trucks, art displays and local businesses hosting special events makes this a great way to get to know the community. The Bella Love Art Crawl begins at Oak Street Mill.
Second Friday Craft Crawl
If beer is more your style, head to the D9 Brewing Company on the second Friday for the 2nd Friday Craft Crawl. This street festival brings out locally brewed ales as well as performances, food trucks and the area’s top bands. The event is free and is held in Old Town Cornelius.
Davidson Farmer’s Market
Every Saturday from 8 until noon the Davidson Farmer’s Market offers handpicked and homemade produce, baked goods and more. In the winter there’s still plenty of fresh-made goodies for your consideration. This community event brings everyone together to celebrate locally made goods.
Rock Musical: Next to Normal
Head to the Warehouse Performing Arts Center starting on January 14 for Rock Musical: Next to Normal. Get into the heart of someone dealing with manic depression and learn what it might be like when life looks normal and happy on the outside, but inwardly is full of turmoil.
Winter can be an exciting time around Lake Norman, especially for those who live in Huntersville. Make plans to attend one of these interesting events this year!
