It’s finally time to start spreading the magic of the holiday season! With Christmas decorations, tree lightings, holiday songs, gifts for our loved ones, and so much more during this time of year, it is nearly impossible to not be cheerful. The good news is that there are plenty of holiday events going on in Huntersville and throughout the Lake Norman area to help continue the spread of this holiday cheer. Following are a few of the best holiday activities in Huntersville, NC and the surrounding areas.
LangTree Christmas Tree Lighting
The annual LangTree Christmas tree lighting will take place on Saturday, November 19 from 5-8pm. There will be a photo booth, holiday choo choo train, face painting, hot chocolate, and even a special appearance from Santa himself! The event will also feature live performances from the Grand Central Academy Silhouettes, Heart to Heart, and Dennis Benton.
A Huntersville Christmas & Town Center Tree Lighting
The Downtown Huntersville area is ready to get into the holiday spirit. The Town Center Tree Lighting will take place on Friday, December 2 from 6-9pm. A Huntersville Christmas will then be held on December 2-3. There will be vendors, rides, food, entertainment, an ice rink, and Santa!
Holly & Tinsel
The Davidson Community Players will be putting on performances of “Holly & Tinsel” at the Armour Street Theatre from December 1-18. This musical celebration was written exclusively for the Davidson Community Players to spread the Christmas spirit with audiences of all ages. You won’t want to miss the world premiere of this performance.
Community Nativity Festival
The 9th Annual Community Nativity Festival will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Huntersville on December 2-3. On December 2, the festival will be open from 3-9pm. On December 3, it will be open from 12-8pm. There will be over 300 nativities from all around the world on display at this free, family-friendly event. There will also be crafts, nativity dress-up costumes, and a scavenger hunt for the children to enjoy. Plus, there will also be live musical performances taking place each evening from 4:30pm-closing.
